The electrocardiogram is a medical test that charts the electrical activity of the heart.  

An EKG is usually ordered in the following situations:

​

• In case of diabetic people, hypertensive.

• In case of presenting pathologies of the heart such as: Anguina, Hischemia.

• In case of dyslipidemia (high cholesterol)

• Before surgery to evaluate heart function.
   

The electrocardiogram is a non-invasive test, with immediate and inexpensive results.

It is recommended that everyone over 40 years of age should have this test regularly.
